Aloha Save Surf Parking protectors 🌺
Help get SB1034 scheduled in the Ways and Means Committee hearing!
Mahalo to everyone who submitted testimony to protect the 300 free parking stalls at the Ala Wai Small Boat Harbor, our access to surf at Bowls, Rockpiles and Kaisers. 233 people submitted written testimony in SUPPORT of our bill! This is already a huge success and would not have been possible without everyone’s effort.
Our bill SB 1034 has passed its first hearing in the Senate Committees on Water and Land and Hawaiian Affairs unanimously. All of the 10 Senators voted YES.
Now, our bill needs to get a hearing scheduled in the Senate Committee on Ways and Means (WAM) before March 2nd in order to not “die.” Senator Donovan Dela Cruz is the Chair of WAM and in charge of which bills will make it on the agenda.
